Robert John Austin
Passed away on April 28, 2024
Robert John Austin, age 76, died at home after a short illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean, and brother, Deke (wife Vicki), brother-in-law Terance Ricker (wife Marsha), sister-in-law, Carolyn Ostojich (husband John), and sister-in-law, Maryellen Miller, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was a graphic artist. He worked in Hollywood, post-production titles and graphics prior to the computer age. He created numerous fine art paintings, some of which received awards. He was an avid history buff and supported several organizations devoted to historic preservation. He was a collector of many things besides antiques, including toy trains. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
Jean and Family , Bob and I are so terribly sorry for this great loss. He was a kind, smart, wonderful person and he will be missed very much. We’re so happy to have met him and spent time with you two. We love you Jean… stay strong, that’s what Bob would want, he loves you so much. I know you two were devoted to eachother. ❤️

Bob and Jean were wonderful neighbors and great friends. They were devoted to each other, so I know it’s a terrible loss for Jean. Bob was a talented artist and a serious environmentalist. He will be very sadly missed. Rest in peace, Bobb-O.
